Introduction

Dear Parents and Carers,

A warm welcome from Hope Montessori School.

We are a family run Nursery School based in Paddington and Marylebone.

We opened our doors to the first little ones on South Wharf Road in June 2008. This is a small and intimate School accepting up to 28 children.

In 2009 we opened four additional classrooms in our new setting on Marylebone Lane. This was the former American University which is a fantastic premises. Marylebone caters for up to 70 children including the Hope Montessori Baby Room.

We were inspired by friends in the US having seen the following video of an environment for the youngest little ones that is so full of sensorial equipment which the children clearly love.

We use partner companies for Drama, Yoga, Fun Fitness, Spanish and have good working relations with Children’s Services as well as local public and private Schools who form part of London’s educational community.

The School bus service is used weekly to go on both major excursions to the museum or galleries and weekly outings to the gym and a private park.

Our most important feature is our wonderful team of teachers and carers. All of our teachers are Montessori qualified or training to be. Our Baby Room carers are highly qualified Nursery Nurses (with minimum NVQ Level 3). However overriding their qualifications our Teachers and Nursery Nurses are passionate about work with children and are committed to our very simple work ethos (i.e. we all love children and work hard helping them along their journey).

• Children have freedom to access and choose from the total range of material within the Montessori curriculum and EYFS

• A calm environment helps children become deeply involved in individual activities…

• …However they are also able to show energy and enthusiasm when involved in team and social activities inside the School and on outings

• Protect their environment and maintain good order by taking out and putting away all their work….

We follow the Dr Maria Montessori teaching method which was founded over a 100-years ago and is one of the most popular and effective ways to ensure your child gets the best opportunity to develop his or her potential.

We integrate Montessori Methodology with EYFS principles and best practice to make a stimulating and fun environment for our little ones!
